The 2022/2023 collection maintains the club's identity keeping blue as its main colour. Joma wanted to add a change: the shirt has fine wavy lines on the front. These lines are light blue and white, and give it a modern and innovative touch. At the same time, the essence of the club has been maintained. As usual, the club's logo has been included, and is also printed on the fabric on the front of the shirt. The technique that has been used for this is embossing. The design of the back is smooth.
The new t-shirt is made of 100% recycled polyester, which is characterised by its quality and elasticity, in addition to being very durable and easy maintenance. Plastics, which are highly detrimental to biodiversity, are processed into recycled polyester yarn and subsequently into more than a million metres of sustainable fabric. This is then used in Joma's textile collection, such as that of TSG 1899 Hoffenheim from the 2022/2023 season. This Joma initiative aims to curb ocean pollution and eliminate plastic waste by developing recycled products.
This fabric offers excellent breathability thanks to the MICROMESH finish, which results in a state-of-the-art fabric capable of controlling the athlete's body moisture. Thanks to this technology, the body remains dry and comfortable, avoiding post-exercise cooling.
Areas of increased perspiration, where the player needs extra breathability, are reinforced with pieces of mesh fabric that replace the polyester base to provide extra comfort. The FLATLOCK system with flat seams also contributes to this, preventing chafing and providing elasticity and freedom of movement.
